James Michael Guffey who is better known by his ring name, Jimmy Rave passed away at the age of 39. He was one of the most popular and amazing American professional wrestlers. The wrestler was well-known for Ring of Honor (ROH) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). According to the sources, the news of his death was confirmed by wrestling agent Bill Behrens who released a statement in the remembrance of the fighter.

The statement was written by Behrens and daughter of Jimmy Rave, Kailah,” James is survived by his ex-wife Felicia, daughter, Kailah, son James II, and his parents Jim & Toni Goffey. At the time of his death, he was living in Philadelphia, PA area with Gabby Gilbert”.

What Was Jimmy Rave Cause of Death?

The cause of his death has not been confirmed but Jimmy Rave struggled with his drug addiction for a long time and he was also diagnosed with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in both legs in June 2021 because of his diagnosis, it resulted in a double amputation. He was one of the most popular and beloved fighters in the ring.

Since the news broke the Internet, many fans are paying tribute to the fighter and shared their condolence. All the fans should pray for his family who is suffering from a difficult time.

He was born on December 8, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia, US. The fighter debuted in the wrestling domain in 1999. Staying in the ring for more than two decades, he raised his fame as a two-time NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion. He achieved many things and was named the “Crown Jewel” in Ring of Honor and also a contestant in Japan Pro Wrestling towards the later part of his career.

Not only this but also spent his life as a booker for several years at Rampage Pro Wrestling. Bill Behrens mounted and said,” James was one of my kids and his loss hurts me a lot and many others, we wish we could have saved him, but we couldn’t”.

Now, the family has announced the funeral and memorial services and the funeral services would be held in Georgia and more details will be announced later. Many fans took the support of social media to pay tribute. He left several memories behind. ROH Wrestling tweeted,” Ring of Honor is saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Rave (Jame Guffey). ROH extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans”.
