Two bandits killed in gunfight with police in Kaduna

Two bandits have been killed in a gunfight with police officers, after being intercepted by operatives attached to Mopol 47 Zaria who were on patrol around Riheyi village within Fatika district of Giwa LGA on Monday evening.

 

The bandits were accused of terrorising residents of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

 

The state police spokesperson, Mohammed Jalige said the police operatives displayed gallantry, fired precision and successfully neutralised two bandits.

He told Channels Television that an AK-47 rifle loaded with 10 rounds of live ammunition and an operational motorcycle were recovered from the bandits during the operation.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Mudassiru Abdullahi has also commended the officers for their display of professionalism and courage to achieve the desired result.
