Suspected cable thief electrocuted in Ogun (video)

The lifeless physique of a yet-to-be recognized man has been discovered on an electrical energy pole in Kobape neighborhood in Obafemi/Owode native authorities space of Ogun State.

 

It was gathered that residents of the neighborhood found the corpse on Sunday morning, November 21. 

 

No person knew why the person determined to climb the pole since he was not an official of an electrical energy producing or distribution firm.

Whereas some mentioned the person will need to have climbed the pole to commit suicide others opined that he may need been attempting to steal cable when he bought electrocuted.

 

“We wakened this morning to see the corpse of a person on the electrical energy pole. The demise of the person is mysterious. We didn’t know the way he died. Perhaps, he wished to commit suicide or he wished to steal cables. Solely God is aware of,” an eyewitness instructed newsmen. 

 

Nevertheless, spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, mentioned that the person had tried to steal electrical energy cables.

“The person climbed the pole, presumably he wished to steal the wires. I don’t assume he wished to commit suicide, as a result of he has reduce a number of the wires. If he wished to commit suicide, he solely wanted to climb the pole and maintain the bare wire,” the PPRO said.

 

“In response to the data at my disposal, he has reduce a number of the wires. Perhaps there was sudden energy provide when he was slicing the cables,” Oyeyemi added.

Oyeyemi mentioned that the corpse has been eliminated by the police whereas the case remains to be being investigated.
