Police rescue 11 kidnap victims in Delta

11 kidnap victims have been rescued by the Delta State Police Command in a bush at Idu roundabout alongside Ozoro/Ughelli expressway.


The abductors numbering about 5 and stated to be in military camouflage uniform and armed with AK 47 rifles, reportedly opened hearth on a Toyota Sienna with Reg. No. SMK 185 FU, which was conveying passengers from Ozoro to Ughelli. It was gathered that they kidnapped all of the passengers. 



Following a misery name, the Divisional Police Officer, Oleh Division, SP Paul Oboware mobilized and led a mixed workforce of police patrol groups, vigilante and hunters to the scene.


They condoned off and combed the encompassing bushes relentlessly, making the abductors to desert their victims. The state police spokesperson, DSP Brilliant Edafe added that 11 kidnapped victims have been rescued unharmed from the scene, and the automobile recovered.



Edafe additionally revealed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
