"Eternally grateful" Agbani Darego writes as she celebrates twentieth anniversary of the day she was topped Miss World

Agbani Darego was topped Miss World on today in 2001 and he or she took to Instagram to mark the anniversary of the memorable day.

 

Agbani was the primary Nigerian and in addition the primary indigenous African to win Miss World.

 

The 38-year-old mannequin was topped Miss World on the age of 18, after beating 93 contestants from all around the world on the 51st version of the Miss World pageant, which held on 16 November 2001 on the Tremendous Bowl of Solar Metropolis Leisure Centre in Solar Metropolis, South Africa.

She was topped by Priyanka Chopra, who had been topped Miss World the earlier 12 months.
