Femi Kuti, son Made nominated for 2022 Grammy Award



Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti has been named amongst nominees for the 2022 version of the Grammy Awards.

The daddy and son have been chosen for his or her Legacy + album that includes tracks like As We Battle On a regular basis, Cease The Hate, Na Bigmanism Spoil Authorities.

Like Wizkid, actual title Ayo Balogun, they’re underneath Greatest International Music Album class.

Others are Rocky Dawuni for Voice of Bunbon Vol. 1, Angélique Kidjo for Mom Nature, Daniel Ho & Pals for East West Gamers Presents – Reside in Live performance.


The award is introduced by the Recording Academy in recognition of music achievements in the US.

Femi and Made are son and grandsons of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a.ok.a. Abami Eda.

Made grew up in The New Afrika Shrine in Lagos and studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London.

A music govt cum artiste, Maye Hunta stated Femi Kuti have to be happy with sharing the Grammy nominations with Made and Wizkid.

“Massive respect to baba @Femiakuti for his nominations. I’m positive he’s so proud sharing the highlight with 2 of his “sons” Made and Wiz..#naijablood #GRAMMYs”, Hunta tweeted.
