Benue 2023: Akase vows to uphold enforcement of open grazing prohibition law

A number one governorship aspirant in Benue State, Mr. Terver Akase, on Sunday pledged to uphold the enforcement of the Open Grazing and Ranches Institution Legislation which was enacted in 2017 by the current administration.

Akase, the previous Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, spoke Sunday in Naka, Gwer West Native Authorities Space of the state in the course of the decamping ceremony organised to obtain new entrants and defectors from different political events into the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP.

Akase recommended Governor Ortom for his brave management in defending Benue’s territory from being overtaken by marauding herdsmen who’ve killed hundreds of indigenes.

In line with him, he’ll maintain and reinforce Governor Ortom’s method to tackling safety challenges within the state.

Akase, who stated that the state should be secure for improvement to thrive, famous that the anti-open grazing legislation stays the easiest way to cease the incessant assaults on Benue communities by armed herdsmen.
