A 23-month-old dwarf cow named Rani stands 51 centimeters (20 inches) tall and weighs only 26 kilograms. The cow at a farm near Dhaka has become a media star with scores of newspapers and television stations featuring the dwarf cow.

At the Charigram farm, southwest of Dhaka, many tourists are flocking there.

Rina Begum, 30, from a nearby town, said, “I have never seen anything like this before.”

Rani comes in at a whopping 10 centimeters shorter than Manikyam, the world’s shortest cow, according to the owner.

A tape measure was used by Shikor Agro farm manager M.A. Hasan Howlader to demonstrate exactly how dwarfed Rani is with her closest rival, Manikyam, a cow in Kerala, India, that holds the current world record.

A claim that Rani is the world’s smallest cow was submitted to the Guinness Book of Records by its owners

Howlader told AFP, “People come from all over to take selfies with Rani, even though there is a lockdown on Coronavirus cases. Guinness World Records has promised a decision within three months.”

The number of people who have visited Rani within the last three days alone is more than 15,000 said Rani owner.
