There is absolutely no Country that has never been ruled by corrupt leaders. We see situations where a person rules a Country for more than 20 years and during his/ her time of reign rather than making the country bigger and better, he/she will end up destroying the Country by embezzling a huge amount of money.

1 Muhammed Suharto, former president of Indonesia from 1967 – 1976:

Suharto ruled Indonesia for a good 31 years and he leads the list of the most corrupt leaders that have ever lived. During his time of reign, he gathered between  $15 billion – $35 billion

2 Ferdinand Marcos, former president of Philippines from 1965 – 1986:

Tagged as one of the most corrupt leaders that have ever lived. Marcos ruled the Philippines for 21 years and he embezzled between $5 billion – $30 billion dollars.

3 Mobutu Sese Seko, former president of the Democratic republic of Congo from 1965 to 1997:

Mobutu ruled DRC for a total of 32 years and during his time of ruling, he embezzled a whooping sum of $5 billion dollars. His corrupt administration moved the Country into hyperinflation in 1991.

4 Sani Abacha former president of Nigeria from 1993 to 1998:

Abacha ruled Nigeria for 5 years and he embezzled around $5 billion dollars while in office. Some of his wealth were stored in different parts of the world. Over $2.5 billion dollars have been returned by Switzerland and U.S.

5 Zine Al-Abidine Ben Ali, president of Tunisia from 1987 to 1911:

Zine Al-Abidine ruled Tunisia for 23 years and embezzled up to $2 billion during his 23 years of reign.

6 Slobodan Milosevic, former President of Serbia/Yugoslavia from 1989 – 2000:

During his 11 years in office, Slobodan amassed more than $1 billion. In 2001, The Guardian revealed that Serbia’s bank said that up to $4 billion dollars was embezzled.
