Mitch McConnell, Senate Republican leader, issued a stern statement referring to Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene who has been spreading lies and conspiracies.
Mitch McConnell said, her “loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country.”
He also referred to when Majorie Taylor Greene refuses to believe that the Pentagon was not hit by an aeroplane on the 9/11 attack.
“Somebody who suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s aeroplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on a substance that can strengthen our party.”
Although he did not make mention of Majorie Taylor Greene, his statement refers directly to her due to what he mentioned in his statement.
The statement which was first reported by The Hill, had Majorie Taylor Greene replying to the senate republican leader. She quickly went to Twitter to write, “Real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully. This is why we are losing our country.”
According to CNN, she has been facing backlash since a Kfile found out that she showed support for the execution of Essential Democrats in 2018 and 2019.
Her comments before she was elected to Congress have led to many problems For her as it is now reflecting all over the interns. Including a video of her rebuking a shooting survivor in Parkland.
Her Committee assignment is now on the line for her behaviour as House Democrats are looking to dethrone her.
The No. 2 Democrat House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has given GOP leader Kevin Mccarthy 72hrs to strip Taylor Greene of her Committee assignment unless it is settled in the house floor.
Greene insinuated that amid the ongoing plan to dethrone her, she has spoken to Donald Trump and will “never apologise” no matter the backlash she Faces.
